TED Talk #7

1.) The person giving the TED Talk today was Mark Applebaum.
2.) The title of the speech is Mark Applebaum: The mad scientist of music
3.) In this talk Mark asked the audience "What is music?"and"Is this music?",this left the crowd puzzled everyone thought "Music isn't that the what happens when you use instruments to play certain notes" but it is more than that music. Mark breaks down the rules of music in these fascinating ways. Music doesn't have to be something played form an instrument but can be anything, for example Mark shows the audience this instrument that he made from a pile of junk. But then by the end of the talk he changes the question from "Is this music" to "Is it interesting".
4.) My opinion on the talk was that it was very interesting and new. During the talk Mark lightened the mood by telling which made me keep my attention on the talk. Also I learned a new thing in the museum of music there is this 72 foot long painting called The Metaphysics of Notation. This painting has tons of music notes combined into one painting and at 12:00 to 1:00 different composers come in and play what they think it means.

Cloning in Premiere:

• Must have 4 clones
• Do things to make the video interesting 
• Video due by Friday 
• Make sure to have a background so you can cut out the extra clones and have a place to work at
• Export the background as a .TIFF
• Save it to the Desktop
• Drop it on video line two
• Re-size the video
• Right click-edit original (on the .TIFF this should bring you to Photoshop)
• Quick select the person don't get the background (Press Control+J)
• Under .TIFF options click okay
• GO back to Premiere it should change on it's own
• To get rid of the white got to video effects-keying-color key
• Drop it right on the image and get rid of the white
• 
  

Journal Entry #22

Today was very different before school started I had to go to Rehab for my knee. Then in first hour to 3rd hour everyone was asking me the same question "What happen to your leg?" "Did it hurt?" But besides that I ate in the skyhawk cafe and had cup noodles.

Before school started I put my senior night gift to the varsity basketball players in my locker. In my first hour: Language Arts with Mrs. Reagan. We took notes for our timed write tomorrow. In gym today we played lacrosse it was very fun. Then during SET I went to Mr. Swerdfeger's class to finish some work in his class. After that I went to Mr. Zent's class and we took some more notes to be prepared for the test on Friday. For lunch I ate at the Asian food line it was kinda chilly outside but it was not to the point where I had to bring a big jacket.

I think that the YouTube video's helped when it came to Photoshop. Because it gave me a visual on what tool I need to use or what to click on. I find it better than trying to read it from a book which can be very confusing. But the video's can also have their down side if the person is going to fast on the video I might miss something and become lost.
