Dealing With Failure

1.)How do you react when things don't go as expected?

When something unexpected happens I try to stay calm and analyze what I  did wrong and how I could have changed the situation.

2.)What did I learn from the failure speech?
I learned that when we constantly reward the people who get A's it seems like we only reward perfection and not improvement. We should relish on the students that show any type of improvement ex. A grade change of a C to a B.

Copyright Laws About Music

The Copyright and the Public Domain website says that any type of music or lyric protected under this right cannot be reproduce or sold in a way that you are taking credit for the production of this song, but to get around this there is something called public domain- when the copyright expires the owner does not have any exclusive rights on it-which means the public can use it.
  1. True.
  2. False, if the creator of that song signed all of the necessary steps for copyright it can be inherited or transferred to someone else and rights that follow that law will still be valid.
  3. Yes, under copyright you cannot play a recording of the music in a public place even if you own the CD.
  4. Yes, because the person you bought it from may have illegally downloaded the song from somewhere and he is trying to sell it as a legitimate product.

TED Talks: Grit

  1. What is Grit? I think that Grit is a metaphor for the effort that you put into your daily life, and how far you are willing to go with it. Instead of just meeting the standard you would go above and beyond.
  2. The antithesis of Grit? The antithesis of Grit would be when you do not go the extra mile to meet your goal, you settle.
  3. What can I do to increase my "Grittiness"? I can do this by accepting failure, but not settling with it. That it is okay to make mistakes and I should learn from them.
