TED Talk #7

.) The person giving the TED Talk today was Mark Applebaum.
.) The title of the speech is Mark Applebaum: The mad scientist of music
.) In this talk Mark asked the audience "What is music?"and"Is this music?",this left the crowd puzzled everyone thought "Music isn't that the what happens when you use instruments to play certain notes" but it is more than that music. Mark breaks down the rules of music in these fascinating ways. Music doesn't have to be something played form an instrument but can be anything, for example Mark shows the audience this instrument that he made from a pile of junk. But then by the end of the talk he changes the question from "Is this music" to "Is it interesting".
.) My opinion on the talk was that it was very interesting and new. During the talk Mark lightened the mood by telling which made me keep my attention on the talk. Also I learned a new thing in the museum of music there is this 72 foot long painting called The Metaphysics of Notation. This painting has tons of music notes combined into one painting and at 12:00 to 1:00 different composers come in and play what they think it means.
